Recordando a Paul Newman

Joe Gillis es un guionista que no consigue trabajo en ningún estudio. Finalmente acepta trabajar para Norma Desmond, una excéntrica estrella de la época de las películas mudas que vive en una enorme mansión y está convencida de que con un guion suyo ella volverá a ser la famosa actriz que fue en su día. Poco a poco, Joe pasa a convertirse de empleado a hombre mantenido por Norma. Cuando Joe se enamora de otra mujer, Norma pierde el poco contacto que le quedaba con la realidad.
Estuvo nominada por la Academia en 11 categorías, aunque finalmente se llevó tres óscars: mejor dirección de arte, mejor música en un drama o comedia, y mejor guion.

A pesar de que sus últimas misiones son bastante irrelevantes, el agente secreto británico Alec Leamas no desea abandonar la clandestinidad para ocupar un despacho oficial. Su nueva misión en la Alemania Oriental parece más interesante: consiste en hacerse pasar por un desertor y para que su deserción resulte verosímil se las ingenia para desacreditarse y desacreditar a sus jefes hasta conseguir que lo expulsen de la agencia de inteligencia británica. De este modo no le resulta díficil entrar en los círculos de espionaje comunistas. Sin embargo, el agente acaba descubriendo que su misión es una simple tapadera y él un instrumento al servicio de un complot secreto.
Obtuvo 2 nominaciones al Óscar como Mejor actor (Richard Burton) y dirección artística

Años treinta en Chicago. Dos timadores de diferente edad deciden vengar la muerte de un viejo y querido colega que ha sido asesinado por la mafia. Su idea consiste en un reunir a amigos y conocidos para desplumar al gánster.
La cinta consiguió 7 óscars: mejor dirección de arte, mejor diseño de vestuario, mejor director, mejor montaje, mejor música original, mejor película y mejor guion original.

Además, Robert Redford estuvo nominado como mejor actor principal.

El actor Robert Shaw se hizo un esguince justo antes del rodaje... el director pensó que esa cojera encajaba perfectamente con el personaje, por lo que no tuvo que fingir que andaba correctamente.
